VectX Privacy Policy

VectX ("we", "us", or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using VectX.
1. Information We Collect
VectX is a privacy-focused portfolio tracking application.
1.1 Guest Mode
You can choose to use this app without signing in. In Guest Mode, VectX does NOT collect any of your personally identifiable information. All data is stored locally on your device only.
1.2 Identity Information (Sign in with Apple)
If you choose to sign in with Sign in with Apple to sync your Pro status or enable premium features:
We only receive an encrypted unique User ID provided by Apple.
If you choose "Share My Email" during sign-in, we will also receive your email address.
This information is used solely for identifying your account status and syncing data; we cannot access your Apple ID password.
1.3 Asset & Settings Data
Personal Transaction & Asset Data: Portfolio names, transaction records (buy/sell), amounts, notes, tags, and other information you enter into the app.
App Settings: Your preferences, such as theme colors, currency units, language settings, etc.
Key Feature: Except for the information mentioned above used for account identification, we do NOT upload your asset data to our own servers.
2. Data Storage and Protection
2.1 Local Storage
Currently, all data you create in VectX (including portfolios and transaction records) is stored locally on your iOS device using SwiftData technology. This means you have full control over your data, and we cannot access your financial privacy.
2.2 Private iCloud Container
To provide a consistent data experience across devices, VectX uses Apple's CloudKit service to store data in your Private iCloud Container.
Complete Isolation: Your data is stored within your personal iCloud space, completely isolated from the developer's environment.
Inaccessible: As developers, we cannot access, read, decrypt, or modify any financial data stored in your private iCloud container.
Security: Data transmission and storage are protected by Apple's industry-standard encryption technology.
3. How We Use Your Data
We only use your data in the following scenarios:
Core Functionality: To calculate your Return on Investment (XIRR), Current Market Value, Profit/Loss analysis, and generate trend charts.
Personalized Experience: To display themes and formats according to your settings.
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data with any third-party advertisers or data analytics companies.
4. No Third-Party Tracking
VectX commits to NOT using any third-party analytics tools.
We do NOT collect your IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) for user profiling or ad tracking.
We do NOT silently upload your usage logs in the background.
5. Third-Party Services
Apple Services: This app relies on operating system services provided by Apple (such as Sign in with Apple, Shortcuts, SwiftData, iCloud). The use of these services is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Your Rights
Access & Modification: You can view and modify all your investment data within the app at any time.
Revocation: You can revoke authorization for VectX at any time in iOS System Settings (Settings -> Apple ID -> Password & Security -> Apps Using Apple ID). Once revoked, the app will no longer obtain your Apple ID information.
Data Deletion and Account Cancellation: You can delete specific transaction records or entire portfolios at any time. Additionally, we provide a "Delete Account" feature in the app's "Settings" page. When you voluntarily choose to delete your account, we will perform the following irreversible data clearance operations for you:
Revoke Apple Authorization: Instantly revoke the authorization credential for "Sign in with Apple" for this app.
Delete Local and Cloud Data: Thoroughly destroy all portfolios, transaction records, and preference settings stored locally on the device. If your device has iCloud sync enabled, the data deletion instruction will also sync to your private iCloud container, clearing cloud data as well.
Clear Security Credentials: Clear account identifiers and authentication sessions retained locally on the device.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for the latest information.
